TiEcon Udaipur just happened. On 20th March, 2026, more than 600 entrepreneurs, investors, and startup founders assembled in Udaipur at the Marriott Hotel under one powerful theme, which was, Celebrating Entrepreneurship: Bharat Next Leap.
The energy in the room was clear. The startup environment in India is expanding rapidly. And at the center of some of the most thrilling discussions was a question that kept coming up- how is artificial intelligence actually transforming the way institutions work in India? For Edysor, the answer is already playing out inside university admissions teams through AI voice agents for university admissions that are making the entire process faster, smarter, and more human at the same time.
TiEcon is not just a conference. It is a platform that brings real ideas to real money. Last year alone, a total of 11 to 12 startups were actually funded through TiE Udaipur network. One of them was even given international investment by Japan.
The event in this year was two-tracked. The Big Picture Track looked at AI and the emerging technologies on a broad level. The Execution Track was concerned with a more practical one, i.e., product development, scaling, and real-life implementation.
Edysor lives entirely in the Execution Track. We are not only discussing what AI can do to universities. We show what it already is doing- right now, in live admissions workflows across India.
Thousands of student inquiries are received by most Indian universities each and every month- and a small group of counselors is supposed to go through with all this manually. The outcome is always similar: the leads become cold, the follow-ups are missed, and the students decide to attend another university just because someone did not respond quickly to them. That is what that really looks like on the ground:
This is where Edysor enters, not as a concept, but as a deployed, working solution that has been implemented and is running within university admissions departments all over India.
The fact that Edysor was developed with higher education in mind is what sets it apart as an AI tool of the generic kind. It knows how Indian students interact. It goes with the already existing CRMs used by universities. It does document validation, checks of eligibility, and generation of offer letters all in a single platform.
AI conversational agents for higher education are not a Western concept being imported into India. Edysor has built AI conversational agents for higher education from the ground up -- keeping Indian universities, Indian students, and Indian communication habits at the center of the product.
The distinction matters. Something developed in one US university will not comprehend a student who switches to Hindi halfway through a sentence and then goes back to English. It will be unaware of how to manage the particular document formats that are demanded by Indian institutions. It is because it was created with this reality in mind that Edysor does.
As India's startup ecosystem takes its next leap, AI conversational agents for higher education are becoming less of a competitive advantage and more of a baseline requirement. Those universities that implement them today will be way ahead of those that do not.
TiEcon Udaipur 2026 made one thing very clear- the future of Indian entrepreneurship lies not only in big cities or big budgets. It is all about working out intelligent solutions to actual problems, being developed here in India.
Edysor is proof of that. A homegrown AI platform, built in India which addresses one of the most overlooked issues in higher education- the disconnect between an initial question posed by a student and their ultimate enrolment.
The jump is not as difficult as it may seem, especially when your university is still doing all admissions manually.
Book a free demo with Edysor today and understand how AI voice agent, chat agent, and automated offer letters can change the way your admissions processes works, starting this week.
